Good communication. Very helpful. The product we ordered is as we anticipated. A canvas bag was included, along with Velcro tape for installation. Overall, it was an excellent experience. We are very happy with the result and would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a hard case worth it over the bag that came with the stand? +
Yes, if the stand travels by freight. A hard case is the difference between a frame that survives ten shows and one that survives three. Soft bags protect against dust and scuffs, not against sitting at the bottom of a pallet under a crate. Keep the nylon bag for shows you drive to yourself, and use the hard case for anything that leaves your hands at a freight depot.
How rough is freight in Australia, really? +
Rough enough to plan for. Brisbane to Perth is over 4,000km of road, several depots and a manual handling event at each one, and cartons get dropped, stacked and dragged along the way. Regional legs move onto smaller vehicles with less careful loading. Assume the case will land on a corner at some point and buy on that basis, not on the one show you are shipping to next.
Which case size suits my kit? +
Match the case to the kit rather than the other way around. A plastic hard carry case takes a 3m pop-up kit, the Oval Hard Carry Case handles 6m kits, and the M and L wheeled cases suit frame sections and folded fabric together. Leave nothing loose inside, because empty space is what lets a frame section move and bend. Pack the graphic on top of the tubing, never underneath it.
How should I label it? +
On at least two faces, ideally three including the lid. Handlers read whichever face is pointing up, and a case rolled onto its side loses a single label to the floor. Put the show name, hall, stand number, your mobile and the return address on every label, and strip old show labels off before it goes. Cases carrying one label on the end are the ones that turn up in the wrong hall.
Can I fly with one? +
Check the airline's checked-baggage limits before you book. Most domestic Australian fares cap a checked item at 23kg and cap the linear dimensions as well, and a loaded L-size case will exceed both. Oversize handling is charged per item and is sometimes refused outright at regional airports. For a regional show, either split the kit across two smaller cases under the limit, or freight the case ahead and fly light.
Can the case double as something on the stand? +
Yes, and it is worth it when floor space is tight. The Podium Hard Case takes a printed wrap and a top, so it works as a counter through the show instead of sitting behind your backdrop occupying the storage gap. If you are using a plain case, plan where it lives before you get there, because a 3m wall standing 100mm off the back wall will not hide a wheeled L-size case.
How are these different from the Trade Show Display Accessories & Add-Ons range? +
Cases exist to move the stand, the rest of that range exists to make it work once it is up. Trade Show Display Accessories & Add-Ons is the broad add-on catalogue, covering shelving and TV mount units, brochure and tablet stands, counters and retail panels, and it carries these same cases too. This page is only the cases. A case never appears in a photo, which is why it gets left off the order. Buy it with the display.
How do I order the right case? +
Tell us the exact display you are packing, including frame width and whether the graphic is fabric or rolled, and we will point you at the case that fits rather than the biggest one on the page. Email support@backdropsource.com.au or ring +61 7 3053 8668. Cases ship free Australia-wide, hardware carries a 1-year warranty, and if a display goes on the same order, artwork assistance and a 2D mockup are free.
