What actually fits inside a 3m x 3m stand? +

A 3m back wall, a 1m counter and two people standing. Nine square metres sounds workable until you subtract 600mm of depth for the wall and its feet, another 500mm for the counter, and a metre of clear entry so visitors are not stepping around each other. That leaves roughly 2.4m by 2.4m of open floor. Plan for two staff on shift, not four, and keep spare cartons off the stand.

Can I set one of these up on my own? +

Yes, if you buy a popup or a tension fabric kit rather than a panel system. One person will get a 3m x 3m package standing in 45 to 60 minutes, most of it spent walking around the frame to work the graphic on evenly. Two people halve that. The cost of going solo is the counter and any screen mount, which are awkward to lift and align alone, so book a hand for those.

Do I need space only, or will this work in a shell scheme? +

Shell scheme, almost always. At this size organisers sell you an Octanorm bay with 2.5m walls, a fascia and a light or two, and everything in this collection is freestanding inside it. Keep frame height under 2.5m and stand the back wall about 100mm forward of the shell wall so the feet sit flat. Most exhibitor manuals prohibit screwing or taping into the uprights, so do not plan on fixing anything.

Will the kit fit in my car? +

A back wall and graphic will. One 3m popup or fabric wall packs into a single wheeled case around 1.2m long, which lies flat across a folded back seat in a hatchback or wagon. Add a counter, a screen mount and lights and you are at three or four cases plus a monitor box, which becomes a van or a freight job. Sedans are the problem, not the weight.

Where should the counter go so people still walk in? +

In a front corner, angled about 45 degrees to the aisle, not squared across the middle of the opening. A 1m counter parked centrally turns a 3m frontage into two narrow gaps and reads as a service desk to be avoided. Pushed into one corner it leaves a clear 1.8m entry and still gives you a surface, some storage and something to lean on while you talk to someone.

Do I really need the lights and a screen? +

Lights yes, screens only if you have something moving to show. Halls are lit for aisles, so an unlit graphic sits noticeably darker than it looked on your monitor, which is why the Exhibit Pro kits carry Illume lights on the top rail. A screen up to roughly 1.2m wide suits the L Arch TV kits. Every lead and fitting has to be test-and-tagged to AS/NZS 3760 or the venue will pull it.

How is this different from the 3m x 6m booth kits? +

Frontage and depth. These packages are built for a single 3m bay with about 3m of depth, so one back wall does the work and the aisle sees one face. The 3m x 6m Trade Show Booth Kits range covers stands with the same 3m frontage but six metres of depth, which needs side wall graphics and a reason for visitors to walk to the back. Same hardware family, different layout problem.
