Is a 6m x 6m stand always space only? +

Effectively yes. Organisers stop supplying shell scheme somewhere around eighteen square metres, so at 36 you get a marked rectangle, a power point where you asked for one, and nothing else. Walls, flooring, lighting, storage and rubbish removal are yours. That is a bigger jump in responsibility than in cost, and it usually means submitting a stand plan for approval before the exhibitor manual deadline rather than turning up with cases.

How many people and how long is the build? +

Three to four people and most of a day, six to eight hours, for a full 6m x 6m kit. Two can do it, but you will lose an hour or more waiting for a second pair of hands at every wall lift. Book the earliest bump-in slot you can get and treat the day before opening as a build day, not a contingency. Dressing the stand always takes longer than erecting the frame.

Do I need overhead rigging, and who is allowed to do it? +

Only the venue's approved rigger, and only from a point you booked in advance. Rigging is what makes a 36 square metre stand findable from the far end of the hall, but it is not a job you or your build contractor can do, and points sell out weeks before bump-in. The alternative is a freestanding tower inside your own footprint, which costs floor space instead of rigging fees.

How do I plan sightlines with three or four open sides? +

Keep the perimeter low and put your mass in the middle. A solid wall on an open edge turns visitors away and often breaches the organiser's sightline rule, which commonly limits anything over about 1.2m within a metre of an open boundary. Build a central structure to carry the storeroom, screens and branding, then ring it with counters and product so every side shows something worth walking towards.

What size storeroom should I plan for? +

Around 2m by 2m, placed centrally or in a back corner rather than on an aisle face. That is enough for stacked cartons, a fridge, coats, a bin and the power board, which are the five things that otherwise end up visible. Lockable is worth the extra, since halls are open to other exhibitors during bump-out. A store is also the right home for cabling runs and spare graphics.

How does a kit this size ship and arrive? +

On pallets, in crates, and it needs a dock. A full 6m x 6m modular kit is well past car or courier territory, so plan for a forklift at the venue, a booked delivery window, and somewhere for empty crates to go during the show, which most halls will store if you label them. Confirm the marshalling procedure in the exhibitor manual before the truck is on the road.

How is this different from the 9m x 6m kits? +

Eighteen more square metres and a change of purpose. A 6m x 6m stand carries a demonstration area, a counter and a storeroom comfortably.
